week 32

while it feels like its flying by and every positive appointment is a step in the right direction we are now starting to think about the end goal



so we went to the hospital to see the midwife and have a scan.  still all good woo!  everything is normal.  the only problem is the placenta is still low lying which means that if it doesn't move you need a  section rather than a natural birth which is fairly normal in pregnancy.  

so that's the big thing happening right now  still having blood pressure monitored and urine which thankfully is all normal



so what's else has happened BABY SHOWER!!  yes that women only event which is completely sexist!  we did get loads of really nice things  including lots of batman related items which is awesome!  AND her work place are also throwing her a baby shower so even more stuff!! we are pretty much at the point where we can compete with mother care lol

so in short more free stuff and it looks like well have a c section!

like clock work!

it made me laugh as its true!!  so  this week  something major is happening aside from all that is currently happening:

lack of oxygen
cant say the write words
beng kicked/punched by the bubba

so looking at the chart the next big thing is


Braxton hicks contractions start so this will be interesting.  place your bets as to how many times I get woken in the night!

lots of kicking!

so usually when he's kicking its the wrong way etc n I hardly feel it but the other night I had my hand laid across my partners tummy and he was goin mental with lots of fluttery kicks and I can feel it wobble n move its very strange.


well I can dream hell turn out to be a ninja.  I also watched a video my partner made where he was goin mad while I was at work and you could see him moving and her tummy was jumping all over the place.

the due date is still 30th of july and its now 12 weeks away!!

next best thing

well everything is going as planned each week we check what's happening and its text book.  this week is the best though, the baby has been moving loads but we haven't really been able to feel it yet, although he has been punching and kicking lots it first felt like soft flutters which is very hard to explain. 

But now it has gotten a lot stronger and this morning he was kicking away having a great time waking up the missus at stupid o clock  but when I felt it I could actually feel the skin move it was very strange like a hard tap on my hand.


so its all exciting and a nice way to connect!

exhaustion scale

so we are now at 6months! it seems to have gone very fast but don't worry the fun hasn't stopped.  as the title suggests I have collected some more baby brain quotes !

in bed and having a general chit chat about baby and this corka is spouted  "hes leaching my mamories"  followed by the "exhaustion scale" as the excuse





mainly followed by lots of hysterical laughter.  these have been my favourites so far.  but now some proper serious pregnant related stuff.  at this point some clothes may not fit as well as they used to so its time to go shopping for maternity clothes!!
think of the trauma of giving input into a standard outfit then x100




is something you keep in ur head!!! and nod and agree with any choice that is made and if your unsure think of this


and you wont go far wrong.  were out stuffing our faces at frankie n bennies(the craving has semi switched to salad specifically the nizza salmon salad) and decided to have a look for some clothes.  the choice its pretty crap really the selection is really small and that makes our job a lot harder so I think what you can take from this is

A) don't give input on sizes
B) if she doesn't like it neither do you!

now to round off the blog with something slightly cuter.  from recent blogs I have mentioned that we have super stocked up on nappies which is still the case but we have now got enough clothes to last us well until he's 18th months and plenty of toys and other random assortments. so we have started buying things to make his room look all nice. we bought a thermometer that doubles as a night light and some hungry caterpillar canvas paintings a mouse/dog riding a bike blackout curtains its all very exciting as he has started moving a lot more and he is very lazy!  he starts kicking at night time n then he started kicking at stupid o clock in the morning.

so next scan is in a few weeks and ill update with more classic baby brain quotes :)

20 week scan

well were at 21 weeks and the baby brain has hit hard!







whilst this  is probably some old wives tale it still serving well as an excuse for when she says things like substance instead of sustenance which is very funny. I have other example but at this moment in time I cant remember them all but that's because I've got baby brain.


we also had the 2nd part of the 20 week scan done and that's now finished !!   and everything is going as expected no 3rd eye or anything weird to report.


next scan is 28 weeks!

catching up

well I hadn't realised it had been this long since id last posted so before I divulge the main content of this post a update on the pregnancy thus far and in a nutshell



its going great   everything is as it should be and he's started moving around mainly at might because  he's lazy lol




and this one is slightly impromptu and sourced from my lovely missus who is quite sweary at the best of times but the pregnancy is making her extra sweary!


and to days source of amusement a hot water bottle that was preventing a try from being stored correctly behind the booze, I had to take over to simmer the rage.





we also have plans to start the baby room over the holidays which is 2 weeks away so they'll e plenty of pics going up when its done!!
